Australian fast bowler Shaun Tait has been ruled out of the DLF Indian Premier League action since Cricket Australia believes he has not recovered from the left hamstring injury he sustained in February.
Tait, who was to turn out for Rajasthan Royals, had declared himself fit after two months of treatment but Cricket Australia spokesman Peter Young said "Shaun Tait won't be playing IPL. He's still working through the rehab programme and it has been determined that he won't be playing IPL. He has a hamstring injury and there are associated issues behind the hamstring injury."
Tait, who was named in Australia's 30-man squad for the ICC World Twenty20 to be held in June, was signed for $375,000 by Rajasthan Royals at the IPL auction in Goa.
